EPC: Employment Policy Convention, ILO 122, 1964 (entered into force 1966)

This ILO Convention requires states to pursue an active policy designed to promote full, productive and freely chosen employment. The policy must aim at ensuring that there is work for all who are available for and seeking it, that such work is as productive a possible and that there is freedom of choice of employment. The policy must take account of a state's stage and level of development, but move progressively towards attaining these objectives.
