PEL: Paid Educational Leave Convention, ILO 140, 1974 (entered into force 1976)

This ILO Convention is to promote the granting of paid educational leave during working hours. States are to design and implement policies that give workers access to such leave for training at any level, for general, social and civic education, and for trade union education. The ILO supervises its implementation.
