RPC: Radiation Protection Convention, ILO 115, 1960 (entered into force 1962) This ILO Convention provides for the protection of workers against the harmful effects of ionizing radiation in the course of their work. Every effort must be made to restrict exposure to the lowest practicable level, maximum permissible levels must be fixed, appropriate warnings given, and all workers adequately instructed in the precautions to be taken for their health and safety. Appropriate monitoring must be instituted and medical examinations undergone at appropriate intervals. |
