WLC: White Lead (Painting) Convention, ILO 13, 1921 (entered into force 1923)

This ILO Convention prohibits the use of white lead, sulphate of lead and all products containing these pigments in the internal paintings of buildings, with certain exceptions. The employment of women and males under 18 is prohibited in any painting work involving the use of these products. The Convention also sets out certain principles for regulating the use of white lead and products containing lead pigments.
